emerging adulthood



so, it's true; we are not children, not yet adults.

  1. This comes off as a wholly idealistic, almost-romantic vision of the twenty-something era. I mean, there's other takes on it that recount how this "recession" will put our generation back at least 5-10 years because of lack of a job market, failures in the education system, etc. I don't think any thing has really changed within the last couple thousand years, except for the idea of the individual experience or the birth of existentialism as a concept/way of thinking of things. Modern Science is like a weather forecast, there's only so much data written down, with previous centuries, millenia cut off. I'm sure ancient greeks experienced teen angst and an early to mid twenty rut in their own way, relatively speaking.
