summary

i don't really feel like itemizing my views on nyfw, it's way too time consuming. basically, i'm not that into a. wang like the rest of the world and can feel myself gravitating to a softer slouchy look. maybe boyish, yeah, but in lighter colors and fabrications, lots of sheers of course and grounded by denim. gary graham, richard chai, and rag and bone seem to round up my ideal look for spring. anoraks, pants with volume, sheer tops, stripes with florals... it's like comme de garcons fall 09 translated for a broader audience. whatever, so maybe it's watered down, but has a lot of possibility without being too "classic". maybe by the end of the week i'll have changed my views on american fashion but for now i think i like it best in variations on basics rather than anything trendy or avant-guarde.
